Database/Billing Administrator

Strata Networks is seeking a Database/Billing Administrator.

This position Gathers, complies, processes subscriber call detail records from multiple sources, to load into our billing system.  Ensures that data is gathered and processed accurately and timely.  Processes the monthly billing cycles to generate monthly subscriber billings.  Develops procedures to automate the billing functions where necessary.  Maintains billing system setup for rate code/plan changes.  Assists in troubleshooting any billing issues and works with the billing vendor to resolve such issues. Works with other departments to assure understanding of proper use of the system.  May provide training to other departments on proper use of the billing system.  May design and write programs/scripts to assist with collection, processing, and distribution of subscriber call detail records.  Assist other departments with reports generated from tables/data within the billing system.  Assist in maintaining database performance, integrity, and backups.

Required Skills: 

Must have at least 5 years of experience in database administration, including maintenance, backup, restore, performance tuning, upgrading, security.  Must have excellent understanding of database structure and proper maintenance of databases.  Must be able to retrieve data for reporting purposes using complex SQL scripting and report building software such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI or similar.  Experience with Windows Server and UNIX operating systems. Must have excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms with both technical and non-technical individuals.  Set priorities and meet strict deadlines.  Ability to adapt to changes in technology.  Prior knowledge of wireless or landline technologies is helpful.
