The Automation and Measurement Technician works on various customer’s equipment to get data from well sites, salt water disposals, compressor sites, plants, and any field automation devices to their respective SCADA host. 

Duties and responsibilities

The primary duty is to execute field installs of various automation instruments, transmitters, and radios as well as download, troubleshoot, and modify RTU and PLC configurations.

  • Install and maintain remote communications equipment
  • Assist Automation and SCADA engineers in troubleshooting systems from the field
  • Calibration and verification of field instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a CATV Advanced Line Technician in the Vernal area. Primary job responsibilities are to provide maintenance of the coaxial plant. Sweep the cable plant on a regular schedule, troubleshoot and or make repairs on the coaxial plant and assist with designing and building out the plant when needed. Must also be able to provide secondary support for the Install / Line Technicians. Previous coaxial installation and line work experience preferred.

A valid Utah Driver License and satisfactory driving record are required. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide drafting support to multiple OSP Engineers. Typical assignments include:
    • Fiber-optic and copper-based projects (to the home, business, cell-site, node, etc.), including staking sheets/construction drawings
    • Tabulation of materials
    • Coordination with Engineers, Logistics, Construction, and Facilities groups on assigned projects

Qualifications include:

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a full-time Marketing Specialist.

This employee will be responsible for brainstorming, developing, and executing marketing strategies for STRATA Networks. Marketing strategies may be focused on STRATA’s core products and services, business development ventures, and/or one of STRATA’s subsidiary companies.

This person will be expected to show initiative and high aptitude in developing marketing-related tactics, including communication strategies and/or promotional and advertising plans, and will work with others on the Marketing team to implement those plans.

Candidates should have a good understanding of best marketing practices and will need to demonstrate excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

A four-year undergraduate degree in the areas of marketing, communications, business, or another related field is strongly preferred.

The NOC Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues affecting business and residential customers and the availability and quality of the network. This individual must be able to employ investigative and troubleshooting skills to identify, isolate, and resolve routine to very complex system and network issues.

Employees are expected to achieve individual, and team goals and have a positive approach in interactions with customers and team members. Must be able to communicate with technical staff to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and have very strong technical, communication, and organizational skills within a fast-paced environment.

Strata Networks is seeking applications for Seasonal Laborers. This position is considered temporary and may complete up to 1000 hours. The wage is $14 per hour, and will have the opportunity for overtime.

The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical systems. They perform installation and maintenance tasks to ensure the effective operation of various electrical equipment. 

The primary duty is to install, maintain and troubleshoot a wide variety of electrical systems.  As well as promote safety standards, complete paperwork, and train apprentices.

The Telecom Tower Foreman installs, constructs, maintains, and operates wired, wireless, fiber optic, microwave telecommunications equipment and 2-way radio systems for our customers. The Foreman provides support in the installation, maintenance, and operation of telecommunication site infrastructures.  The Tower Foreman oversees assigned projects.  He is responsible for maximizing crew efficiency with a focus on safety and profitability of the projects through effective site management and continuing to look for areas of improvement on our work sites. His ultimate responsibility is for the safety and wellbeing of the crew members. He is responsible and accountable for all activities of the crew, equipment, and company resources when a direct superior is not on site. Working in extreme temperatures, heights above 300’, and traveling are required. STRATA Networks is currently accepting applications for an Underground Utility Locator Technician. The Locator Technician will be responsible for identifying and marking buried fiber optic, phone and CATV cable by referencing utility prints and using specific locating equipment. Technician must be flexible to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions, able to succeed under stressful situations, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner. The candidate must also be motivated to work independently and demonstrate good time management skills to plan and accomplish the assigned workload as required.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Read and understand utility maps, prints, and aerial imagery to assist in identification of underground assets
  • Prioritize work activities by reviewing all locate requests to determine travel routes and timelines
  • Operate handheld detection equipment
  • Mark the location of underground fiber, phone, and CATV assets on roadways, private property, and other locations, as appropriate and needed, using required spray paints, flags, and other equipment
  • Ability to work in confined space
  • Knowledge of Utah state laws
  • Knowledge of APWA uniform color code and marking guidelines
  • Accurately and consistently wear safety gear, and operate safety equipment, provided
  • Daily contact with supervisor, crews, homeowners, and contractors discussing locate issues
  • Work on-call hours
  • Perform outside plant route maintenance activities, which include digging holes for posts, running ground wires, placing ground rods, and removing and replacing marker signs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and will assist construction crews during downtime, primarily with the construction of telecommunications and a Fiber-to-the-Premise Network Installation.

Qualifications include:

  • Must have a valid driver's license, drive extensively
  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work professionally in a diverse and stressful environment
  • Complete and document work activities using a laptop computer and transmit completed tickets on a timely basis to the company's ticket management system
  • Good communication skills with managers, contractors, utility representatives, and homeowners.
