Scholarships are only available to cooperative members. To qualify for membership, the user must subscribe to a landline or internet service and reside in one of the ten local districts.

At Strata, we feel privileged to offer scholarships and youth opportunities for our local students. These scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance for educational opportunities to individuals with commitments to rural communities, to support those wishing to pursue advanced training in career preparation, and to encourage an emphasis on careers in telecommunications or any other field that would enhance rural development in the Uintah Basin.

*Applicants must be local immediate family members of a current Strata Networks member (Strata Networks membership requires broadband or landline service. “Family members” are sons, daughters, and stepchildren, including legal guardianship or an adopted status.).

General Scholarships

These scholarships (ten per year) are available for dependents of Strata Networks members graduating from high school. The scholarship will be used for post-high school education, such as colleges, universities, technology centers, or other advanced training centers or programs. These are nonrenewable, up to $2,500 per academic year.

Strata Networks Memorial Scholarship – High School Senior

This scholarship was established as a memorial scholarship to honor all Strata Networks employees who have passed and to recognize their contributions and dedication to the company. One scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating high school senior who is a dependent of a Strata Networks member.

The scholarship may be used for post–high school education, including colleges, universities, technology centers, or other advanced training programs. This is nonrenewable, up to $3,500 per academic year.

Preference will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria and are selected by the Scholarship Committee with approval from the Board of Directors:

  • Pursuing studies in communications, technology, or business-related fields
  • Plans to return to and contribute to the local community
  • Meets the requirements of the Strata Networks Board Scholarship Committee

Charles Crozier Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1995 as a memorial scholarship honoring Mr. Charles Crozier, a former president, director, and employee of Strata Networks. This scholarship will be accepted at local institutions only.

The Charles Crozier Memorial Scholarship is restricted to students who have not attended high school for at least one year at the time of the application deadline and who are Strata Networks members or dependents of members enrolling at higher education institutions located in the Uintah Basin, such as UBTech and USU.

Two nonrenewable scholarships of up to $2,500 per year will be awarded. Scholarships are to be paid in equal installments based on whether the education is on a quarter, semester, or program basis. Each installment is awarded based on the prior quarter, semester, or program being successfully completed.<!-

First Responder & Military Discount - 20% Off Wireless Services

Law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, search and rescue, active-duty military, National Guard, reserves, veterans, and Gold Star families are eligible to receive a 20% discount on qualifying wireless service plans.

Proof of Eligibility:
Active status or service verification must be provided at the time of activation and at each renewal. Acceptable proof includes a valid ID, badge, or certification for first responders, or official military documentation such as a current military ID, veteran ID, DD214 form, or state driver’s license with veteran designation.

Account Requirements:
The discount applies only to accounts where the qualifying first responder or military member is the primary account holder. It does not extend to family members or dependents.

Limitations:
This discount cannot be combined with any other monthly discount or promotional offer and applies only to personal (non-business) accounts. Strata Networks reserves the right to verify eligibility and modify or discontinue the program at any time.
