The Uintah Basin's climate is ideal for data center floor temperatures nine months out of the year. The low humidity is also optimal for the data infrastructure. Because of this, the data center can be cooled much more efficiently than facilities located elsewhere.
Low Power Rates
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Utah has one of the lowest average power costs in the nation, allowing the data center to be maintained cost-efficiently.
Alternate fiber routes out of the Uintah Basin prevent services from ever being disrupted.
Low Risk of Disasters
The Uintah Basin is located in one of the nation's lowest natural disaster risk regions. There is very little risk of power outages due to flooding, tornadoes, earthquakes, ice storms, or other severe weather.
