Strata Networks has pledged $70,000 to Utah State University Uintah Basin (USU Uintah Basin) to support scholarships and programmatic initiatives for students pursuing degrees in technology and business. This contribution builds upon a previous commitment made in 2021 and reflects Strata’s ongoing investment in education and workforce development in the region.
The total contribution will be granted over a three-year period with $45,000 going toward student scholarships, awarding five scholarships annually, each valued at $3,000, with preference given to those studying technology or business-related fields. The remaining $25,000 will support the faculty in the Business and IT programs, in partnership with the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. These funds will help create engaging, hands-on learning opportunities that strengthen students’ skillsets and better prepare them for the workforce.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Utah State University and help cultivate the next generation of professionals in our region,” said Strata Networks CEO/General Manager Bruce Todd. “As a company rooted in technology, we understand the value of investing in students who will drive future innovation. This partnership reflects our commitment to education, economic development, and the long-term success of our communities.”
This renewed gift is part of a long-standing collaboration between Strata and USU Uintah Basin to strengthen opportunities for students across the Uintah Basin.
“Strata Networks has always been, and continues to be, a strong supporter of higher education,” said David Law, associate vice president for USU Uintah Basin. “Utah State University faculty and students will use Strata’s latest gift of $70,000 for scholarships and program support in General Technology, Technology Systems, and Business. Our faculty in these areas, Daphne Blanchard and Michael Baily, will work collaboratively with Strata Networks to identify and implement ideas that provide mutual benefit for our students and Strata Networks. Strata Networks is an ideal community partner. I thank them not only for their support of Utah State University Uintah Basin, but for everything they do that enhances everyone’s quality of life in the Uintah Basin.”
Strata also maintains a similar partnership with Uintah Basin Technical College (UBTech), offering scholarships and programmatic support to help students succeed in high-demand technical fields. The UBTech program is designed to complement USU’s General Technology Program by providing foundational skills and training that provide a pathway for students to continue on to advanced education and career readiness.
