STRATA Networks announced that their Annual Charity Golf Classic will be transitioning to a new format, due to the evolving COVID-19 crisis. This new format will allow teams to schedule tee-times and play anytime during a two-week period starting August 14 and finishing up August 28, 2020. For the past 19 years STRATA’s Annual Charity Golf Classic has raised over $210,000 that has directly benefitted local charitable entities. Although the tournament structure for this year is unconventional, teams can still enjoy a round of golf while continuing to raise funds and support a local charity in need.
Golf teams will still receive the many benefits they would normally expect from a STRATA hosted golf tournament. Each player will receive a goody bag including a Travis Mathews hat, a $50 ProShop gift certificate, a meal voucher, a registration prize, and the chance to win hole contests and team prizes. Scores will be recorded at the golf course, and winners will be announced on the final day of play. This new format will also allow the community to participate in the tournament’s fundraising efforts by purchasing raffle tickets online or by participating in their online auction.
STRATA is excited to announce that the proceeds from the Charity Golf Classic will be donated to KLiC (Keeping Love in Communities). KLiC helps individuals in the Uintah Basin who are fighting cancer by providing supplemental assistance including gas vouchers for travel to treatments or doctor appointments, overnight accommodations for treatments, and gift cards for groceries or household utilities.
