Strata Networks announces the upcoming retirement of CEO and General Manager Bruce H. Todd following 41 years of service, including 32 years as CEO. The company is proud to welcome longtime team member Beau Hancock as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective November 19, 2026.
For more than four decades, Manager Todd’s leadership has helped shape Strata into the company it is today, guiding the cooperative through significant changes in technology, customer needs, and the telecommunications industry. His legacy extends beyond the company’s growth to the people, relationships, and commitment to community that remain central to Strata’s mission.
“Bruce’s impact on Strata and the communities we serve will be felt for years to come,” said Kelly Dastrup, President of the Strata Networks Board of Directors. “Throughout his career, he has helped move the company forward while keeping the needs of our members at the heart of its direction. We are grateful for his leadership, dedication, and decades of service.”
As he prepares for retirement, Manager Todd reflected on the people behind Strata’s success and expressed confidence in the company’s future.
“It has been a privilege to serve Strata and our communities,” said Todd. “Our successes are due to our dedicated leadership team, executive secretaries, and the teamwork, skills, and vision of employees across all departments. I also thank the Board and its Executive Committee for their oversight and support of the company’s strategic and operational goals. Their thoughtful representation of Strata, its employees, and our members/customers have been invaluable.”
Todd’s gratitude also extended to his personal support system that made his years of service possible. “I also want to extend my deepest appreciation to my wife, Carla, and our family for their steadfast support and the sacrifices they made as I fulfilled my responsibilities,” Todd said.
“I have every confidence in the Strata team and in Beau’s ability to lead the company forward,” he continued. “His knowledge and experience have prepared him well for this role, and I look forward to seeing what Strata will accomplish under his leadership.”
A Roosevelt native, Hancock first joined Strata in 2000 as an Account Executive and later returned as the company’s attorney in 2013. He joined Strata’s executive team in 2021 and over the course of his career has held responsibilities spanning legal and regulatory affairs, subsidiary oversight, strategic initiatives, enterprise risk management, human resources, and business development. His commitment to the community extends beyond Strata through his current and past service on the Roosevelt City Council. His experience with the company, the telecommunications industry, and local public service has positioned him well to serve as Strata’s next CEO.
Hancock will lead alongside a seasoned executive team whose collective knowledge, experience, and diverse skills span all areas of Strata’s business. Together with employees throughout the organization, these leaders have helped drive Strata’s progress and will continue to play an essential role in its future.
“I am honored by the opportunity to lead Strata and grateful for the foundation Bruce has established,” said Hancock. “Our strength comes from the talented leaders and dedicated employees who serve our customers and communities every day. Together, we will work to build on the legacy Bruce has built and carry it forward into the future.”
Strata invites its members, customers, employees, and community partners to join in thanking Manager Todd for his service and welcoming Hancock to his new role.
