Strata Networks is proud to announce that the Ashley Valley Food Pantry – operated by the Uintah Basin Association of Governments – has been selected as the beneficiary of its 25th Annual Charity Golf Classic.
This year marks a milestone for one of Strata’s most impactful community events, which has raised more than $400,000 to date. For 25 years, the Strata Networks Charity Golf Classic has brought together employees, partners, and community members to raise funds for meaningful local causes. This year’s beneficiary highlights a growing and urgent need in the community — addressing food insecurity and supporting working families.
The Ashley Valley Food Pantry provides essential food assistance to individuals and families across the region, with a mission to ensure access to basic necessities with dignity. Recent data shows that food insecurity continues to affect a significant portion of local households, including many who are employed but still struggle to keep up with costs.
Funds raised at this year’s event will support the Ashley Valley Food Pantry’s transition into a new facility designed to improve both access and efficiency. The space will feature a storefront-style shopping area with accessible refrigeration, along with a dedicated warehouse including walk-in cold storage, improved shelving, and a loading dock to streamline operations—ultimately increasing the pantry’s ability to safely serve more families. As a regional organization, citizens in Duchesne, Daggett, and Uintah counties will benefit from this facility.
“The Ashley Valley Food Pantry is doing essential work for our community,” said Strata Networks General Manager/CEO Bruce Todd. “We’re proud that this year’s event will help expand their facility and strengthen their ability to safely meet growing demand.”
The 25th Annual Charity Golf Classic is expected to draw strong participation once again, continuing its tradition of combining friendly competition with a shared commitment to giving back. The two-tournament event will take place on Friday, May 15, at Roosevelt City Golf Course and on May 29 at Dinaland Golf Course in Vernal. In addition to the traditional four-man scramble, Strata will host a two-man best-ball tournament on Thursday, May 14, in Roosevelt.
